Navman Transducers

Navman, established in 1986 as New Zealand-based Talon Technology, is a leading manufacturer of world-class marine electronics and Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.  They provide a diverse range of navigation technologies across wide ranging industries.

Navman is one of the manufacturers to offer a comprehensive product range that supports both Palm and Pocket PC operating systems as well as the Windows platform, with products such as the GPS clip on jackets for the worlds leading handheld PDA manufacturers.
Navman also offers a range of transducers that measure depth, speed, and temperature.  Choosing the right sonar or depth transducer is very vital as it is considered to be the ‘eyes and ears’ of your fishfinder or depth sounder. .

The ultrasound waves are almost totally reflected at the boundary between water and air (i.e. the surface). Hence a key to good transducer performance is to position it below the surface and in bubble free water.

Navman has Hull Design, Through Hull Transducers, Transom Mount Transducers, and In-Hull (shoot through) Transducers (depth only).

Confused as to which Transducer you need?

Use the Transducer selection chart as your guide. By knowing your Fish Finder brand, mounting style and plug type you will know instantly our recommendation for the transducer you should buy.

Note: In general we prefer Airmar transducers. They are high quality (often better than the fish finder brand option) and are priced well.

Hi

I'm looking for a replacement paddlewheel for a Navman M100 speed/depth unit. It's an 8 vane unit with square vanes and two magnets. 28mm diameter, 18mm wide across axle.

Hi there. I am unsure as to who would stock these components for this unit. If I were you I would try Sailors Corner in Westhaven, Auckland. I hope this helps

Hi i need a transducer for a NAVMAN 450, has an 8 pin plug.

Hi there mate.
Thank you for asking the question. Unfortunately due to the age of your unit you are going to struggle to find a transducer that will work with it. I have tried hunting a model down for you, but with no such luck.

Hi.
I have a Navman Fish 4380 unit, with a (8 pin) speed/depth/tem p transducer. The speed seems ok, the temp reads low (like 15° low), and the depth/fishfinde r doesn't work. I managed to pick up another transducer with the Navman plug on it, but this is a 6-pin plug, as such I can't plug it into the 8-pin headunit.

A few questions:
1, I believe the original transducer is 200KHz only and the replacement is 50/200KHz. can my headunit drive the dual beam sensor?
2, Is it possible to put an 8-pin plug on the end of the replacement transducer?
3, Where can I get the 6/8 pin plugs/sockets from, so I could make up a 6-8 pin adaptor cable and not have to cut off the existing plug on the new transducer?
4, Where can I find the pin-out of which wire is connected to which pin for both the 6 and 8 pin layouts?

Hope you can help.
Paul.

Hi looking for Transducer for Navman C4500 with speed & temp ?Or is it possible to repair existing which has lost speed wheel?

Hi there. I cannot seem to find exactly what transducer you require for your model. I have a feeling that it will work with the Airmar P66-DT-6N. But I am not 100% sure. How many pins does it currently have on the plug end? If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us on (09) 281 3150.
