Here's a top tip for those who need to get questions answered from manufacturers.

Lowrance HDS

Ever felt fustrated that your email to the big guys just gets ignored? Well these guys can't get away with it no more!

With the advent of social media and the big companies jumping on the band wagon...there's no place to hide.

Before I loose you completely let me give you an example. Say you had a certain fish finder combo i.e. a Lowrance HDS 5 fish finder and you wanted to know whether you had the latest software update...

Well you could head on over to the Lowrance Facebook page and just post your questions there. It WILL get answered Cool.

Quoting forrest Gragg:
I need to know if I can mount a lowrance LSS-1 structureScan transducer about 4 inches beside a skimmer transducer on transom of a HDS-8 unit without each one interfering with the other.

Hi there mate, yes! you will be able to mount them side by side without experiencing any problems. Reason being? they transmit on quite different frequencies so will not get confused or mixed up with the different signals. hope that helps. Cheers

What do you mean by different readings? If it’s an interference issue then its most likely the transducer is installed in a poor location and will have to be moved. You shouldn't need to go through hull.
